Security

Jelli is a budgeting app. It reads your transactions so you can sort them into jars. It never moves your money. This page says what we do to keep your data safe, in plain words.

Who at Jelli can see what

In the normal course of business, Jelli staff can't see what you buy, only amounts, which we use mainly to help you when you contact support. If we need more to solve a problem, we'll ask, and you choose for how long. You can turn it off at any time, and we log every look.

Your bank login stays with your bank

You connect through Plaid, which many banking apps use. Your username and password go to your bank, never to Jelli. We keep only an encrypted key that lets us read transactions.

Jelli can't move your money

Jelli only reads transactions. It has no access to payments or transfers, so it can't move, spend or send your money.

How we protect your data

Your data travels encrypted and is stored in an encrypted database. Your bank key and any receipt photos are encrypted again with AES-256, and each person's data is kept apart.

No passwords to steal

Sign in with a link we email you, with Apple or Google, or with a passkey. We'll never ask for your bank login or a sign-in code.

On your phone

Face ID protects Jelli by default, and widgets hide amounts on your Lock Screen while it's on.

AI in Jelli

JJ reads your budget and transactions to answer you, through the AI providers we work with. Every request runs under zero data retention: it's kept only in memory for the provider's short cache, then gone, and never used to train a model.

Deleting your account

Delete your account in the app, or ask us by email, and we delete everything about you: your banks' connections, your budget, photos, chats with JJ and your messages to support. We keep only anonymous counts, like how many people joined each month.

Payments

Subscriptions go through Apple, Google or Stripe. Jelli never sees your card number.
