My undergraduate degree was in Mechanical Engineering, I love building things and learning how they work. Then I received an MBA from Northwestern University in Finance. I wanted to build a company and understand how it worked. I love the emotional connection a great product can foster with a consumer. When we set out to build Jelli we wanted to transform a tedious, burdensome choir, into a simple and fun task that would truly help your life to be sweeter.

The sweet things in my life are my wife and three sons and two daughters-in-law, writing young-adult adventure novels, and doing anything in the great outdoors from mountains to oceans and everything in between.

I bring over two decades of experience crafting the technology behind intuitive FinTech tools. At Jelli, I lead the development of our mobile apps and backend systems, creating a seamless experience that makes money management feel engaging and fun. I love building things—whether it’s mobile apps, AI automations, restoring vintage electronics, or making the occasional 3D-printed contraption. I also love live music, especially watching my daughter sing whenever she takes the stage.

I continually strive to remain a kid at heart, adding a playful touch to everything I do. At Jelli, I’ve leveraged my co-founders’ business acumen and technical expertise to create a fun, engaging tool that empowers people to take control of their finances. Our mission is simple: help people sweeten their lives with budgeting that sticks.

When I’m not dreaming up creative ideas for the app, you can find me working on a screenplay, collaborating with my wife on her latest art installation, or experiencing joy while watching my son rock-out on stage with his band.
